PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

It has been a busy few months with the Steering Committee Meeting in Monte Carlo followed by the FCEM Committee Meeting in Florence which was attended by three of our BAWE Members plus myself of course. The GWIIN Women Inventors and Innovators Conference and exhibition has five BAWE Members entered for the awards and Tanya Ewing won the Business Category as well as the overall prize. Congratulations Tanya!

Now one of our Vice Presidents Deb Leary has certainly been in the news. She was in Iceland to speak for ‘International Entrepreneurs Day” and most importantly Deb has been  awarded the O.B.E. in the Birthday honours. We are very proud of her. It is a very well deserved award and we wonder what will come next. Later this year Deb will walk to the Base camp of Mount Everest for Charity and she is still looking for Donations.

International Entrepreneurs Day in Iceland

Laurel Hermann was our Speaker for ‘International Entrepreneurs Day’ at which we were delighted to welcome guests from Ireland.

We finish the season with lunch at ‘The Ritz’ on the 27th of June, which was over subscribed this year, and will start again in September. Please do remember the next World Congress in Brussels in October.
