Jane Moore

Journalist Jane Moore has been in the media business for over 40 years, and continues to work across the multi-platforms of newspapers, television, radio and podcasting.

When she started out, it was still very much a male domain, but in the mid-80s she became the first ever female editor of The Sun’s flagship music column, Bizarre, and towards the end of the same decade she was the only woman in the Royal ‘rat pack’ at the height of Princess Diana’s popularity.

Her award-winning opinion column in The Sun reaches millions of readers each week, she’s a panelist on debate show Loose Women, co-presents a podcast about crisis and how to deal with it, and has appeared on, among others, Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, Question Time, This Week with Andrew Neill, ITV’s The Agenda, Times Radio and Radio 4’s Broadcasting House. In addition, she has made guest appearances on Have I Got News For You, University Challenge, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, and The Apprentice: You’re Fired, as well as filming charity specials of The Weakest Link, Who Wants to Be A Millionaire, The Chase and Pointless. She was also a regular on Grumpy Old Women.

She continues to present Dispatches for Channel 4, covering a wide range of issues such as the introduction of the cervical cancer vaccine to schools, the banking crisis, sub-prime debt, the tobacco industry and airport chaos. She was also presenter/reporter on the six part BBC2 series Wonderstuff, investigating the science behind household products.

Outside of journalism, she is a patron of Help for Heroes and has completed three, 350 mile bike rides across Europe to help raise funds for injured soldiers, a trustee of the Jamal Edwards Self Belief Foundation for young people, and a patron of the charities Beyond Autism and Buttle UK which gives chances to children in crisis.

She lives in South London and has two daughters, aged 31 and 20.
